About Me: Cheryl Lee
Thank you for taking an interest in me, my novels, and my design portfolio. Instead of specializing in just one aspect of design, I consider myself a “Jill of All Trades”, having a broad range of experience with different types of mediums, jobs, and projects.
After achieving my Master Design Certificate from SAIT in 2004, I entered into Visual Design at the University of Calgary which courses span MANY aspects of design, including interior design and decorating, photography, and graphic design. Because learning is so important to me, I keep up with trends by continuously improving my design skills. My second (but equal) passion is writing, and I have taken numerous college and university English courses such as creative writing, intensive grammar, copy-writing, and more. I have one self published novel (currently selling on Amazon) and another on its way.
In 2010, I worked as the lead designer for Vayyda Homes & Design Inc, a home renovation company that specializes in flipping houses. I managed the interior design for each project and staged the properties for re-sale. I also provided interior decorating consultations, sourced materials, and completed design sample boards for clients.
Helping with Vayyda’s investment properties is what got me into the real estate aspect of my career. Now working as a realtor assistant, my duties include social media, advertising & marketing, web design, graphic/print design, copy-writing, shopping/searching the Matrix system, staging vacant homes for re-sale, and enhanced HDR real estate photography. I plan on getting licensed by March 2017.
On the side, I also run a small free-lance design company, Mary-Eva Decor, that I started in 2012 and named after my two wonderful grandmothers. Over the years, I have accepted various projects such as web design (HTML and WordPress sites), graphic design (print ads, book covers, vector art), photo restoration, real estate photography, and pet photography.
My experience has given me an understanding of the needs of a broad range of clients. Whatever the project, I am committed to ensuring clients are happy with the end result. I view the design process as a partnership and encourage each client to participate so I can craft a project that is right for their personal style.
Currently, I am available for Real Estate Photography, Print Design, and Photo Restoration projects. For more information on these services, please visit my “Photography page” or email me at: email@example.com
